Sunrise Over Beppu Bay

During a recent visit to Beppu, I woke early to watch the sunrise over Beppu Bay.
As the first light appeared on the horizon, the sea gradually changed color, and the entire landscape seemed to awaken quietly with the morning. There is something special about watching a new day begin beside the water.

The air was still.
The sky was clear.
The sunlight slowly spread across the bay.

It was one of those moments that reminds us how beautiful simple things can be.
The weather remained perfect throughout the day.
Under the clear blue sky, the coastline, mountains, and city all appeared remarkably vivid.

For many visitors, Beppu is known for its hot springs. Yet the natural scenery surrounding the city is equally memorable. The view across the bay, the changing light, and the openness of the landscape create a sense of calm that stays with you long after you leave.

Japan's beauty can often be found in quiet moments like these — a sunrise, a clear sky, and a landscape that asks nothing more than to be appreciated.
