Tokushima Central Park – Where History Meets Everyday Life

In the heart of Tokushima City lies Tokushima Central Park, a peaceful green space built around the remains of Tokushima Castle.
Once the residence of the Hachisuka Clan, who ruled the Tokushima Domain for more than 250 years during the Edo period, the castle grounds have become a place where history and daily life exist side by side.

Today, visitors can walk beneath towering trees, across quiet bridges, and along the old stone walls that once protected the castle.
The park is also home to the restored Eagle Gate, the Tokushima Castle Museum, and the beautiful Omote Goten Garden, allowing visitors to experience both the military and cultural history of the region.
